Year 3, Session 3, Week 1
Edited by: Kristina Magee & Sophia Centanni-Wells
First week of session three! Let's see what the young entrepreneur's are up to this week.
The food bank bins are brimming with goods! The food bins were dropped off last session but really started to get filled up this session. Thank you to all those that have donated thus far; please keep them coming! Session 3 started off with what we are referring to as "The Great Reset". This was just a systems check-in and update so that all Eagles as well as the new guide are on the same page. When you have an Eagle-led studio sometimes systems are not utilized properly and in some cases at all. By doing this we are leveling the playing field for all Eagles new and old and ensuring that there is a fair and safe space for the Eagles to learn.
This week in the Little Eagles studio they started learning how to count money. Special shoutout to the Little Eagles on an excellent Exhibition to conclude Session 2! Though one was absent the Eagles did a great job giving a gallery tour and explaining everything they learned during the Architecture Quest. This week both studios have been quite active outside with temperatures dropping. The cool air has brought on plenty of outside fun and encouraged Eagles to play more team games. With more fun time comes more injuries, let's make sure we are always being as safe as possible while in the studio as well as outside!
This week the older eagles are getting geared up for the Acton Children's Business Fair in their E-ship Quest. This year the Acton Children's Business Fair will serve as the Exhibition for Session 3. The young entrepreneurs are both nervous and excited about preparing to set up their booths and sell their products.
The Eagles successfully complete 3 days of Silent CORE skills and got to go to the Discovery Park that our guest Architect actually built. The Little Eagles joined in on the fun and we hear they had an amazing time. There were specific things that older Eagles complete to earn a "ticket" to the field trip. Ask your Eagle about the field trip and the sweet treat they had while they were out.
We would like to recognize our Eagle News crew for starting on their first blog. Kristina and Sophia are this session's News crew and this week they got a lesson on starting the weekly blog post. Stay tuned as they are quite eager to get going and look forward to kicking Ms. Taylor off the weekly blog. (lol) We can't wait to see what they come up with as well as future News crews. We would also like to recognize Alana for her first "Lunch Limo". Alana decided to go to Tropical Smoothie Cafe and this was her first time ever! She said she really enjoyed it because she passes it over and over and was excited to finally try it out.
