Session 7 Week 1 Year 5

It’s hard to believe we have reached the last session of the school year! The learners have built their tribe, and worked hard for six sessions, and now they get to pursue their interests through our Growing Curiosity quest. We also introduce foreign languages in session 7 through duolingo!

Quest

This session the ES heroes are either completing a passion project or leading a 3-day quest for their studiomates! This quest is called Growing Curiosity and it allows the learners to explore topics they are interested in and share them with others. We can’t wait to see where their curiosity leads them and what they have to show at our last exhibition on May 15th!

Cooking

Mrs. Molley led the heroes in cooking Spice Island Chicken and Sweet Island Rice from Madagascar! The chicken was grilled on skewers, and the rice was made with coconut milk and pineapples. The learners thoroughly enjoyed this treat!

Field Trip 

We had a fabulous field trip to the Louisiana Arts and Science Museum! The heroes loved exploring the Ancient Egypt exhibit, getting to look at art, and a real mummy!! There was a fun STEM room as well with hands-on activities for the learners to do. We had a nice picnic lunch outside and then wrapped up the trip with a show in the planetarium.
