Our 1st Year, Session 7, Week 1
With the planning and preparation for the exhibition at the end of the week - the Eagles can't wait to showcase to their parents what they learned this session!
Little Eagles have been reading their letter to the Easter Bunny in front of the older eagles to receive feedback on ways they can improve for the exhibition!
The Eagles gave and received feedback through an anonymous survey! They also evaluated themselves to see if they improved or not throughout the year. The little eagles sat down with a guide to help self-evaluate themselves!Peer feedback measures contribution to the Studio. Feedback measures how well an Eagle is keeping his or her promises to studio mates.Warm-hearted / tough-minded attributes guide feedback. Using these traits, feedback measures how encouraging an Eagle is to others and how well they hold themselves and others accountable.Giving feedback is as important as receiving it.Giving feedbackReceiving feedbackKnow othersKnow yourselfPractice giving growth-mindset feedback to become a transformative coach, manager, or leader.Work with integrity by understanding how others view your contributions, strengths, and weaknesses.

We are concluding our year with the Community Garden Quest, where together they will explore and experiment with the mysteries of growth—both in gardening, and within themselves! The first two weeks of this six-week quest will be spent learning plant science. The first challenge will bring them deep inside a plant, to the cellular level: building large-scale plant-cell models!
On Thursday, parents attended an Eagle led exhibition that displayed what they learned and their best work this session! The Eagles set up the crime scene simulation for the parents. They were able to show the parents their knowledge in fingerprinting, handwriting, and footprint analysis! After, the learners read their stories that they have been working on from Writers' Workshop! They ended with the little eagles reading their letters to the Easter Bunny!
