Session 6, Week 7, Year 2
The Eagles had a lot of work to complete before Exhibition this Friday! In the past sessions, the learners noticed that some Eagles were having trouble with getting tasks done on time. We revisited the issue in the circle and the Eagles said that they feel like they have improved. Here are some things they have tried:
The Eagles have come a long way and are always looking for ways to improve!
The learners are at the end of their Writers' Workshop! They are working on their grammar workbooks, getting their stories revised and published, and getting it printed!
The little Eagles are working hard on their writing workbooks to earn their badges at the end of the year!
Since we are already deep within the year, the Eagles are now at peak concentration on their core skills. This hour and a half, at the beginning of the day, begins with each Eagle sharing his/her goals for that day. Afterward, everyone gets to work on the computer and they simply work quietly and with a focus for an hour and twenty minutes. It’s absolutely amazing and very inspiring to see it from the side. During the last ten minutes, we return to the circle and each Eagle tells how far they progressed according to their plan and why.
Alana earned enough Eagle Bucks to do Lunch Limo and she picked to go to Chick-Fil-A! She ordered by herself to practice her public speaking skills!
On Friday, parents attended an Eagle led exhibition that displayed what they learned and their best work this session!Eagles led the exhibition, presented their posters, read their Writers’ Workshop stories, and ended with the Eagle Panel!
