Congratulations are in order to the winners of our costume contest this monday! Some of our eagles had some very creative costumes, such as the grandma genie. The other costumes that won prizes included a witch, an angel, purge character, and a barbie.
Ms. Jordan from the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank came to visit the eagles an teach them about eating healthy and helping feed America. "What was your greatest challenge in your journey?" - Charlie asked. Ms. Jordan created a lot of programs for schools and focuses on helping students eat to live. The eagles got to learn how the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank delivers food to pantries in different cities. Deliveries may start in Baton Rouge but they work with 11 other parishes in the state.
Congratulations to our Little Eagle achieving a badge for completing his Orange writing book! Way to go improving muscle memory and penmanship. The LE studio is excited to continue learning about producers and consumers. They enjoy the concept of creating things that others want to buy. During fun Friday they got to play with the kitchen set creating pretend food. In the middle of their playtime they were surprised with a real yummy treat! What got them so excited to drop everything?
Our Eagles are digging deep for Writer's Workshop. Sharing for debrief brought many heartfelt moments and even a few tears. The prompts are bringing out Eagle's creativity in sharing their stories for their memoirs. Several look forward to sharing their memoirs with their parents. Others are looking forward to being finished so they can continue working on their businesses.
A ton of prep is going into the Children's business Fair for Saturday. Eagles have been graciously helping one another with their products. From food, to plants, ornaments and more we cannot wait to see what the Eagles sell! Remember this Sessions Exhibition for older Eagles will be the Acton Children's Business Fair Saturday November 12th.
We would like to extend a warm welcome our newest addition in the older Eagles studio. She successfully complete her first week and has been working hard to learn all the systems utilized by the Eagles. This week the eagles had a challenge to uphold key promises and keep silent during core skills for the 3rd week in a row. They successfully accomplished this challenge and earned a campfire smores party! Job well done Eagles. All their hard work is paying off in more ways than one. We also want to recognize our Eagles who earned a lunch limo this Session. Lunch Limo is one of the most expensive items in the Eagle buck Store but there are several items being added soon.
