Session 4, Week 1, 2022
It's the most wonderful time of the year! Tis the season for Session 4 and December is finally here! Our Eagles are so excited and full of Christmas cheer. They are also full of sniffles and coughs from the ever changing weather; so let's be sure to stay bundled up! Thanksgiving break has been concluded and Eagles are ready to knock out their work in preparation for Christmas break. What's that?...Look up....it's our elves Candy Cane and Kicks! Every year around this time they appear all around the studio. I wonder where they will show up next.
In the Little Eagles Studio not only are they getting a Christmas makeover they are also giving their tree a special Eagle Makeover! Ask a little Eagle about the details they added to their tree to make it EXTRA special. This session the Little Eagles are learning about Geography! They recently went over the layers of the Earth. New to the studio is a mini globe puzzle and world games to learn about continents, landmarks, and animals around the world.
Back to business as usual in the older Eagles' studio! The first task of the day was to update the studio calendar and add all of the important dates of Session 4. Several Eagles have been out due to being under the weather so the studio has been very quiet this week. Hopefully that means the weekly celebration will be much easier to achieve. This Session the older Eagles have the Citizenship Quest and will be learning all about being a US citizen.
This session the older Eagles are alo learning about immigration and how exactly others become a citizen of the U.S. The next 3 weeks they will explore naturalization and the reasons people migrate to other countries seeking citizenship. After their initial research the Eagles say things like war, famine, and seeking new opportunities are amongst the top reasons immigrants seek citizenship in the U.S.. Eagles are also learning about their own families and whether they have members who were once citizens of another country. Several were in for a great surprise learning that their families have roots in other countries such as Ireland, Italy and even Turkey. What other amazing things can your Eagle learn when they dive into the history of their family tree?
