Session 6 Week 5 Year 5
We started the week off celebrating St. Patrick’s Day and ended it with a great Fun Friday! Our heroes were in flow all week leveling up and crushing their goals!!
Quest
The ES heroes began prepping for exhibition by coming up with a crime scene for their parents and guests to collect evidence from! They also started working on their 360 Feedback Reviews for their fellow heroes. These reviews let each learner know what the studio feels they do well with and what they could improve on anonymously. The scores from the 360s help to determine their Freedom Levels for the following session.
ES Comms
The ES learners took a break from preparing their debates this week to prepare for their journey meetings with their parents! During these meetings they will update their parents on the progress that they have made towards their badge plans, let them know what they enjoy most about school, and where they feel they need support.
Art
We are learning about New Zealand this week and our heroes created art inspired by the Maori people! They began with a spiral in the center and branched off into sections. Within each section they created their own design or pattern. To finish the piece, they shaded it in with colored pencils!
Cooking
During cooking Mrs. Molley led the heroes in making an Australian treat - fairy bread! Fairy bread consists of bread, butter, and sprinkles. We had the added choices of peanut butter, jam, or honey. The heroes were able to choose from different kinds of sprinkles and use fun cut outs to make their snack unique!
New Heroes
Welcome to our new heroes Jaxson and Mia! We are so happy you are a part of our tribe!!
