The first order of the week is to give all the Eagles two claps and a woosh for championing the changes made to the studio! There could have been terrible tantrums, plenty of pouting, and a ton of tears yet the Eagles prevailed. C.O.R.E skills have remained silent, Eagles are utilizing their tools they have been equipped with and they have taken off with new fire in their eyes. Awesome job to all the parents who encourage and support them as they soar to new heights during their hero's journey!
As part of their quest the Eagles learned about assembly lines. They had to decide whether it was more efficient working individually or using an assembly line when creating "the perfect sandwich". Between the two teams over 70 sandwiches were made in under 30 minutes. Some of the time had to be used creating a rubric for the "perfect sandwich" and determining what method they would use. "Why can't we eat the sandwiches" one Eagles asked. A Little Eagle was caught taking a chunk out of the delicious looking sandwiches and had to learn about where exactly the sandwiches were going. The Arc of East Ascension was grateful for the donation and the Eagles had were quite intrigued to learn about their non-profit.
This week we took individual and group pictures for both studios. Do not forget that the picture order forms will be on the front desk and can be turned in to either a guide or front desk associate.
The Little Eagles are geared up for success and now that they are learning to count they demand Eagle bucks! Using the tools and resources made available to them has been no easy feat but the Little Eagles are up for the challenge. Though they will not be getting Eagle bucks they do not hesitate to hold their fellow Eagles accountable; no matter what studio. This week the Little Eagles got experience being producers and consumers in their mock shopping center. Competition get ready, the Little Eagles have created a product and cannot wait to get down to business!
What a busy week for the older Eagles studio! With Monday being a Parent's Planning Day there was day camp and the older Eagles shared studios with the Little Eagles. Monday also kicked off the Entrepreneur's League Tournament for the few Eagles that chose to enter. The Eagles went live with 15 other participating schools to announce that the competition is on! This is a tournament separate from the business fair and is another avenue for Eagles to gain experience as business owners. The studio has been silent for a lot more than CORE skills as the Eagles are focused for the upcoming business fair. From creating a business plan to practicing their pitch the Eagles are learning all they can to chase the big bucks.
Warm welcome to our newest committee members! Lunch clean-up was an area where the Eagles needed more accountability so Harper and Kendall volunteered to be the new Lunch committee. There's been quite a few crumb trails left behind and several Eagles are on top of the case. Charlie launched an investigation to find out who has been snacking on other people's food in the kitchen. The rubric for the Halloween contest has been created! The categories are Funniest, Cutest, Scariest, Weirdest, and most creative - lol. They made sure to note nothing too gory but may the best costume win!
